A roomier product edit page, and Ctrl+S to save

Suppliers and categories each have a card of their own on the product edit page, and Ctrl+S saves the form you are working on.

Open a line to read the whole story behind it.

  • New Press Ctrl+S (Cmd+S on a Mac) to save the form you are working on.

If you would rather keep your hands on the keyboard, Ctrl+S now saves: it presses the Save button of the form you are typing in, exactly as clicking it would, so anything missing is pointed out the same way. Clicked somewhere else on the page after typing? It still saves the form you were last filling in, and on an edit page you have only just opened it saves that page. It never deletes, signs out or switches anything off, and on a page with nothing to save your browser does what it always did.

  • Improved Suppliers and categories have their own cards on the product edit page, and the chosen suppliers are shown above the list.

Everything you could change about a product used to sit in one long card on the left, with the photos and barcodes in a short column beside it. Now the suppliers and the categories each have a card of their own, spread over both columns, and one Save button under them saves the lot. The supplier list also works like the category list: the suppliers a product is already bought from are shown above it, and pressing one takes you to its tick box, so you no longer have to scroll through the list to see which are ticked. The page for adding a product is laid out the same way, with reading a photo at the top of the right-hand column.

Dates, not deadlines

Each date is the day that work landed, and nothing more. It is not a support window, not a promise that a version stays available, and not a schedule for the next one.
