Top, middle or bottom

Text on a label design can now sit at the top, the middle or the bottom of its box as well as left, centre or right, both picked from a row of icon buttons, and the choice of what happens when text does not fit is named for the question it asks.

  • New Text on a label design can now be lined up top, middle or bottom in its box, not just left, centre or right — both as a row of icon buttons instead of a list of words.

Where a piece of text or a value from the record sat inside the box you drew for it used to be left, centred or right and nothing else. It can now also be pinned to the top, the middle or the bottom of that box, chosen separately from the sideways position. Both choices are a row of small icon buttons now, instead of two drop-down lists, each button with its own description on hover. A design saved before this change keeps printing exactly as it did — centred top to bottom, the only thing it could ever do.

  • Fixed In the label designer, the choice of what happens when text does not fit its box is now named for the question it asks, no longer for its own first answer.

Dates, not deadlines

Each date is the day that work landed, and nothing more. It is not a support window, not a promise that a version stays available, and not a schedule for the next one.
