When the app says no

Being refused now explains itself, in the language you chose, and the app stops offering you things it was only going to refuse.

Open a line to read the whole story behind it.

  • Fixed Deleting your own account now checks first, and says what is still holding it instead of failing.

Deleting your own account used to sign you out and then fail, leaving you on an error page with the account still there and no way back except signing in again. It failed because an account that has been used cannot simply be removed: your sites, products, suppliers, categories, stock movements and stocktakes all still name it. Now the app checks first. If something still holds the account you stay signed in and are told what it is and how many there are, so you know what to clear out; if nothing does, the account goes as it always should have.

  • Fixed A refused stock operation now explains itself in the language you chose, not in English.

When a stock operation is refused - not enough on the shelf, the same serial number entered twice, a unit that belongs to another product - the reason came back in English whatever language you had chosen. Those sentences are translated now like the rest of the app, and arrive in your own language on the form you were sent back to.

  • Fixed On the phone, the button that adds a product is shown only to people allowed to use it.

On the phone, somebody invited into a warehouse who may move stock but not change the catalogue was still shown the button that adds a product: on the product list, after scanning something the warehouse does not know, and part-way through receiving. Tapping it refused them. It is shown only to people who may use it now.

Dates, not deadlines

Each date is the day that work landed, and nothing more. It is not a support window, not a promise that a version stays available, and not a schedule for the next one.
