A main photo, and calmer phone screens

Pick which photo stands for a product, from the phone or at a desk — and every phone screen now has the quiet look of the phone's start screen.

• New Any photo of a product can be made its main photo, the one lists show, from its edit page or from its photos on the phone.

  The picture a list showed for a product was simply the first one added, with no way to change it. Now any photo can be made the main one. At a desk, the star on a photo in the edit page's gallery does it, and the main photo has a ring around it; the gallery's buttons are now small icons, so all four fit on a photo however narrow the page is. On the phone, the photos screen marks the main photo and offers Use as main photo under every other one, and a single photo offers the same. The main photo is the one the product list and a location's stock show, and it comes first wherever the product's photos appear. The photos themselves are not changed.

• Improved The phone screens now look as calm as the start screen: simple icons, no sentence under each button, and less colour and space.

  The phone's start screen was made calm first. The other phone screens still put a coloured picture on every button and heading, a sentence under every choice, and a lot of space between everything. They now look like the start screen: simple line icons, choices half as tall with just their name, colour only where something has to stand out, and a search box with its button beside it. More of each screen fits without scrolling. What each screen does, and where every button leads, is unchanged.

• Fixed Photos being read opens in the ordinary layout on a computer again, instead of in the phone's.

  Opening Photos being read from the menu on a computer showed the list inside the phone's bar, and left that browser behaving like a phone afterwards: a stock change made on a location's page came back on the phone's screen for that location. The menu's list now always opens in the ordinary layout and changes nothing else. The phone has a list of its own, which its Products screen and the photo buttons lead to.
