Best-before labels on the phone
A best-before label names a date, not a shelf — so the phone now fills in the shelf wherever it knows it.
Open a line to read the whole story behind it.
-
New A location’s phone screen can scan a label, and a best-before label opens that date for this shelf.
Standing at a shelf, scan a best-before label and the date opens with this shelf first and marked “Here” — or it says the date is not on this shelf. Any other label opens what it always did.
-
New On a phone form with several dates, scanning a best-before label adds that carton to its date.
Picking, moving or counting a shelf with more than one date shows a scan box. Each label scanned is one carton on its date’s line; counting starts that date from one. A label for another product is refused. Typing the numbers still works.
-
Improved The best-before screen offers pick, move and count at each place that date stands.
Each shelf holding the date is a card with its amount and the three operations. The form opens with that date’s line already marked.
-
Improved Scanning a best-before label when receiving fills in both the product and the date.
More of the same date arriving? Scan the label on a carton you already have, and the receive form opens for that product with its date filled in.
