The whole of an edit

Changing a product’s categories, barcodes or photographs now counts as changing the product, so the catalogue’s “Last edited” column agrees with what you just did.

Open a line to read the whole story behind it.

  • Improved Re-filing a product under a different category, or changing its barcodes or photographs, now moves it to the top of the catalogue sorted by when it was last edited.

These parts of a product are kept apart from the product itself, so a save that only changed one of them left the “Last edited” date exactly where it was — and the article you had just worked on stayed at the bottom of the list. It counts now, from whichever screen you did it: the edit page at the desk, the one on the phone, the barcode buttons, and adding, turning, deleting or choosing the main photograph. A photograph of a shelf does the same for the shelf.

Dates, not deadlines

Each date is the day that work landed, and nothing more. It is not a support window, not a promise that a version stays available, and not a schedule for the next one.
